Registered Nurse RN - Emergency Department
About The Position
The registered nurse develops, implements, and evaluates the nursing plan of patient care and implements the medical plan of care in collaboration with all disciplines. This position is in the Pottstown Emergency Department, a 26-bed department caring for approximately 35,000 patients annually. The team is committed to clinical excellence, patient safety, innovation, and compassionate, patient-centered care. The department supports professional growth through specialty education, advancement opportunities, nurse residency support, preceptor development, trauma education, and emergency-care certification, and focuses on continuous improvement, teamwork, and safe, high-quality emergency care for the Pottstown community. The position is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with every third weekend and holiday rotation. New graduates are automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Complete and maintain all competencies and trainings required for the role.
- Pennsylvania Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse License.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
