About The Position

Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) is hiring a Registered Nurse for its 16-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), a 24-hour critical care unit with private rooms and cameras to support direct patient visualization. The unit cares for a diverse population of patients with serious conditions, including sepsis, renal and liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, blood disorders, cancer, respiratory distress, withdrawal, and cardiac and postoperative needs. Nurses work in a highly collaborative team environment to provide excellent patient care.

ARRMC's critical care departments support nurses with low staffing ratios of 2:1 or 1:1, 24/7 intensivist coverage, relief and charge RNs, CNAs, monitor technicians, and a strong nursing team. The departments have received Beacon award designations, recognizing exceptional care, improved outcomes, and patient satisfaction.

This is a union position at 0.9 FTE, designated full time, working third shift/nights. The salary range is $53.99–$77.79 per hour. Shift differentials include $2.50 for work between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., $10.00 for work between 11:01 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., and $2.50 for weekends. External candidates may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Requirements

• Previous acute care experience is required.
• Basic arrhythmia proficiency is required.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) is required upon start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required for all critical care units; new graduate RNs have four months to obtain it.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Previous critical care experience preferred.
• New graduate RNs within six months of obtaining licensure may be considered without prior experience requirements.
• Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN), for ICU and IMCU.
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN), for IMCU.
• Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN), for ICU and IMCU.
• Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), for ICU and IMCU.
• Wound Care Certified (WCC), for ICU, IMCU, and CCU.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Respond to life-saving situations as a member of the rapid response and code team.
• Use advanced nursing skills to care for critically ill patients at high risk for life-threatening medical conditions.
• Organize and deliver nursing care while flexibly adjusting priorities in response to changes in patient acuity, volume, emergencies, staffing, or scheduling.
