About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in the Coronary Care Unit Intermediate, providing direct care to cardiac and critically ill patients in a high-acuity acute care environment. The role involves continuous cardiac monitoring, responding to changes in patients’ cardiovascular status, and collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes. The position is full-time, with a night schedule of three 12-hour shifts. The listed pay range is $37.00–$51.28 per hour. Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current certification.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for cardiac and critically ill patients.
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms using EKG and telemetry.
- Assess and respond to changes in cardiovascular status and treatment response.
- Communicate clinical changes, diagnostic results, and symptomatology to physicians.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and vasoactive drips per orders.
- Support patient and family education and guide nursing support staff.
- Respond rapidly to emergencies, code situations, and cardiac events.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
