About The Position

Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) is hiring a Registered Nurse for its 16-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), which operates 24 hours a day and has private rooms equipped with cameras to support direct patient visualization. The unit cares for a diverse population with serious conditions including sepsis, renal and liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeds, blood disorders, cancer, respiratory distress, withdrawal, and cardiac and postoperative needs. The role is part of a collaborative critical care team supported by low staffing ratios, 24/7 intensivist coverage, relief and charge RNs, CNAs, and monitor technicians.

This is a union position at 0.9 FTE, designated full-time, on a patterned night shift. The salary range is $53.99–$77.79 per hour. Shift differentials are $2.50 for work between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., $10.00 for work between 11:01 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., and $2.50 for weekends. External candidates may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Requirements

• Previous acute care experience is required.
• Basic arrhythmia proficiency is required.
• An Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) Registered Nurse license is required upon start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required upon start for critical care units; new graduate RNs have four months to obtain it.
• New graduate RNs within six months of obtaining licensure may be considered without the prior experience requirements.

• WCC (Wound Care Certified), for ICU, IMCU, and CCU.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individual patient care plans.
• Respond to life-saving situations as a member of the rapid response and code team.
• Use advanced nursing skills to care for critically ill patients at high risk for life-threatening medical conditions.
• Organize and deliver nursing care while adjusting priorities in response to changes in patient acuity, volume, emergencies, staffing, or scheduling.
• Provide excellent care to a diverse patient population as part of the critical care team.
