About The Position

Inova Loudoun Hospital’s Family Centered Care team is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN). This is a full-time night position. The RN conducts comprehensive patient assessments, develops individualized plans of care, delivers patient- and family-centered care throughout the continuum of care, advocates for patient rights, and coordinates resources and services to support patient outcomes and transition planning.

Requirements

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing. RNs with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) must complete a BSN within five years of their start date.
• RN license, or eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interprets trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Conducts patient care in a patient- and family-centered manner, applying knowledge, skills, and experience to meet patient and family needs throughout the continuum of care.
• Advocates for patients’ rights from the patient and family perspective, provides counsel, and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
• Accesses resources from all disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes and coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient and family transition planning.
