About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides patient support and communication and facilitates an exceptional patient experience to build and reinforce satisfaction, trust, and organizational loyalty. The role welcomes and prepares patients for appointments, communicates relevant visit information and scheduled services, and performs clinical care activities in coordination with providers.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers, or obtain it within 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or emergency room settings preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate kindness and compassion in all patient interactions.
• Prepare and administer oral, intramuscular, and intradermal medications as directed by the provider, following the Rights of Vaccine or Medication Administration.
• Perform point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs as ordered or indicated, suture and staple removal, dressing changes, and other patient care activities.
• Collect and document vital signs, histories, and screenings.
• Provide patients with instruction regarding medications and diet.
• Authorize prescription refills as directed.
• Prepare patients, rooms, and supplies for visits or examinations.
• Perform phlebotomy and correctly process specimens.
• Clean and maintain treatment rooms and equipment.
• Perform quality controls and equipment checks.
