About The Position

The Registered Nurse on the Med-Surg unit implements the nursing process and carries out physicians’ orders regarding diet, medication, and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care. The nurse performs patient assessments, monitors and evaluates care quality, documents nursing interventions in care plans and medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed. The role includes educating patients, staff, and family members about treatments, nursing plans, and related patient care to support safe discharge. The nurse responds to emergencies, maintains the availability of medications and supplies, and ensures the cleanliness of equipment and the environment. The nurse is also expected to demonstrate service excellence and serve as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.

Requirements

Current Ohio RN license.
CPR certification before patient care experience.
Current ACLS and Basic EKG, or obtain them within six months of hire and maintain them as current.
Excellent organizational skills, customer service skills, and computer proficiency.

Respond to emergencies.
Maintain the availability of medications and supplies.
Ensure cleanliness of equipment and the environment.
Demonstrate service excellence and act as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
