About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective total nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates the patient experience and integrates care using the nursing process. The RN delivers patient-focused care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection-control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimal level of care. This is a seasonal, per-diem position on the CCU day shift at Delray Medical Center.

Requirements

• Meet education requirements recognized by the State of Florida for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Hold a Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• Hold BLS certification.
• Hold ACLS and Basic EKG certifications if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise.
• CCRN certification.
• TNCC certification.
• PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
• Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow infection-control procedures at all times.
• Adhere to environmental care standards.
• Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Coordinate the patient experience and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
• Provide safe, high-quality, patient-focused nursing care in accordance with safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection-control standards.
