Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) - CCU
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates the patient experience and integrates care based on the nursing process, directing patient-focused care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards. The goal is to discharge each patient after providing an optimum level of care. This is a per diem, seasonal night-shift position in the CCU at Delray Medical Center. The RN adapts care to varied age-specific patient populations and works collaboratively with patients, families, physicians, visitors, and employees.
Requirements
- Meet the State of Florida's education qualifications for Registered Nurse licensure.
- Hold an active Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
- Hold BLS certification.
- Hold ACLS and Basic EKG certifications if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise.
- CCRN certification.
- TNCC certification.
- PALS certification.
Responsibilities
- Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
- Attend and participate in meetings and take responsibility for information communicated at meetings.
- Adhere to corporate, regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Follow infection control procedures.
- Adhere to environmental care standards.
- Adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
- Coordinate the patient experience and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
- Direct patient-focused care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
