About The Position
The Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed care to patients and families at the competent level, using the principles and practices of the nursing process. The nurse delivers safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. This position is in the PACU/Recovery unit at the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA). It is a regular employee role scheduled for 36 hours per week, with scheduled hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. A $18,000 sign-on bonus is offered to experienced new hires.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or recognized equivalent) or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required for most nursing areas within the hospital.
