About The Position

The Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed care to patients and families at the competent level under general supervision. The nurse uses the principles and practices of the nursing process to deliver safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. The position is in the PACU/Recovery department at the Columbia downtown location and is scheduled for 36 hours per week, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The posting offers an $18,000 sign-on bonus for experienced new hires.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Registered nurse licensure from the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or an AHA-recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to perform the listed physical and sensory functions, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted, and dealing effectively with stressful situations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
