About The Position

Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a new graduate Registered Nurse to join its Neuro Intensive Care Unit. The hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility. Its Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center treats more strokes than any other Kansas City hospital and provides life-saving interventions 13 minutes faster than the national average. The organization treats approximately 2,000 strokes annually and provides care across neurology specialties including epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, migraines and concussion, Parkinson’s disease, neuromuscular disorders, and other movement disorders.

The Registered Nurse functions independently and is accountable for using the nursing process. The nurse coordinates care for a group of patients with the multidisciplinary team, delegates tasks appropriately, identifies hospital resources, serves as a clinical resource for new employees, and demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within the unit or department.

Requirements

• Associate degree.
• Basic Life Support RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement).
• Registered Nurse (MO) credential through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
• 2 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities
