About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to assigned patients in the Intensive Care Unit, including intensive care for acutely ill medical and/or surgical inpatients. Responsibilities include performance improvement initiatives, applying the nursing process in care delivery, effective communication, flexibility, quality improvement activities, and professional growth. The position participates in Comprehensive Crisis Management and, as assigned, the Rapid Response Team and Cardiac Arrest Team.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program.
• Current Pennsylvania RN license.
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• ACLS certification within one year of hire or transfer.
• Act 33/73 clearances.
• Clinical rotation through an educational program.
• Ability to meet the listed physical demands, including frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and other physical activities.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• CCRN.
• Prior medical-surgical experience and arrhythmia interpretation experience.
• Critical care experience, including IABP, IV insertion, ventilator patient care, ABGs, Swan-Ganz, arterial lines, post-open-heart patient care, care of patients requiring CRRT, ACLS, and PALS.
