About The Position

The Acute Medicine Unit (61600) cares for a diverse patient population, offering significant learning experiences across the medical spectrum. This unit fosters a supportive team environment with multiple opportunities for advancement, including an active unit council, several committee representatives, and new pilot programs. Unit engagement and staff development are actively supported and encouraged. The team is supported by Hospital Medicine MDs and Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and PAs). New Graduates (Level 1) are eligible for the Medical/Surgical Residency Program, designed to help novice graduate nurses transition to competent professional nurses. This role requires less than one year of prior experience in acute care and a two-year commitment upon program completion.
