About The Position

The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care in the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and is accountable for the care given to assigned patients. The role also includes directing and guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The Registered Nurse communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute care hospital experience.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
