Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides safe, direct patient care in the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse is accountable for the care delivered to assigned patients and works within the scope of practice. The role includes guiding patient and family teaching and directing the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The Registered Nurse communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient’s condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
