About The Position

The Registered Nurse will join the four-bed Operating Room team at Atrium Health Lake Norman in Cornelius, North Carolina. The team provides surgical care across specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and gynecology, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other teammates to deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care from pre-op through recovery. The RN provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe and therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication to support a safe patient environment and a positive patient experience across the continuum of care. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts with call requirements.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience as an Operating Room RN is strongly preferred.
