About The Position

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse works within the organization’s policies and procedures, demonstrates professional growth and accountability, maintains standards of practice, and coordinates the patient-care activities of assigned staff to provide quality nursing care.

Requirements

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• No experience is required; new graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
• Current Georgia Registered Nurse license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• For the Operating Room, BLS is required; the additional certification requirement is due within 180 days.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• For PRN positions, one year in a hospital setting.
