Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room FT Days
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) works in the Operating Room at Atrium Health Mercy in Charlotte, North Carolina. The operating environment includes 16 operating rooms and three procedure rooms, with approximately 55–65 cases per day across a range of specialties, including total joints, orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, foot and ankle, hand surgery, endovascular procedures, spine, urology, general surgery, and robotics. The RN provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role applies evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassionate communication, and nursing skills to help create a safe patient environment and a strong patient experience across the continuum of care. The schedule is Monday through Friday, days, with call; the posting notes set schedule options and minimal call requirements, including limited evenings and weekends.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

- At least one year of previous Operating Room experience is strongly preferred.
