About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning, directing, assessing, and providing nursing care in accordance with the policies and procedures of the assigned department. Under the leadership of the department director and assistant director, the RN is expected to demonstrate quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public and customer relations, and broad nursing knowledge. The RN functions as a core member of the interdisciplinary group (IDG) team. This experienced nurse may orient new staff and precept students as assigned.

This is a per diem position with assigned hours of 0830–2100 in 12-hour shifts. The position requires driving and an automobile available for daily work. Pay ranges from $83.04 to $111.05 based on applicable experience. Shift differentials are $5.50 per hour for evening shifts and $8.00 per hour for night shifts, depending on the hours worked.

Requirements

• California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Automobile insurance meeting California requirements and an acceptable driving record of three points or less.
• Participation in the DMV pull-notice program.
• An automobile available for daily work.
• Pass orientation and initial competency assessment before independently accepting patients requiring the applicable skill.
• Complete and pass all annual competencies.

Nice To Haves

• One year of nursing experience.
• At least two years of home health experience within the last five years.
• Spanish-speaking ability.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Hospice certification.
