This is a PCU float-pool Registered Nurse position serving adult and geriatric patients. The nurse floats among the hospital’s Medical-Surgical (MS), MS/Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) units and must be cleared to work on the float units, with flexibility for scheduling and unit ratios. Nurses perform their own vital-sign and blood-glucose checks. Typical ratios are 1:4–5 in PCU and 1:5–6 in MS and MS/Telemetry. The position uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR. Navy-blue scrubs are required. The schedule includes every-other-weekend work, averaging six weekends during a 13-week contract, and floating is required. There are no call requirements. Holiday work is based on the major holidays falling within the assignment period: work one if one falls in the period, both if two fall in the period, or two if three fall in the period. Up to seven days of requested time off (RTO) are allowed. Full compliance is required to start on time; a missed compliance deadline results in a two-week start delay because orientation is biweekly. After the candidate signs and confirmation is sent, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile and confirm unit, schedule, and expertise fit. An Aya Offer is available only if the candidate passes clinical review within RTO guidelines and meets facility requirements. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length (for example, 8 hours for an 8-week assignment and 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).
