Registered Nurse Float Pool MS PCU
About The Position
The Registered Staff Nurse plans and provides individual, goal-directed nursing care that promotes, advocates for, and strives to protect the health, safety, and rights of individuals, families, and the community. The nurse applies knowledge of growth and development and the skills needed to provide optimum care to the patient population served. The RN is accountable for nursing practice and care coordination and is expected to practice autonomously using evidence-based practices. The role supports the mission, vision, and values of Medical City Plano and the philosophy of its Department of Nursing. The position is in the Float Pool for Medical-Surgical and Progressive Care Unit (MS PCU). The stated base hourly rate is $45.50.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in an acute care setting.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse license in Texas or a compact-state license.
- Associate degree; BSN required within 24 months of hire.
