About The Position

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, is a 112-bed behavioral health facility in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, providing acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults and inpatient psychiatric care for adolescents ages 13–17. The Registered Nurse works on an Adolescent, Adult Mental Health, or Substance Use Disorder unit and provides professional nursing care consistent with the facility’s philosophy and objectives. The role is full-time on an 8-hour night shift from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., rotating every other weekend and holiday. Part-time work is also available, with some benefits and the sign-on bonus excluded. The position may qualify for a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 for a two-year commitment.

Requirements

• Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania, or eligibility to receive or renew one.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe, coordinate, and delegate nursing care.
• Complete nursing assessments and document patient care and progress each shift.
• Facilitate medication administration in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
• Respond to crisis and emergency events, directing staff and ensuring patient safety.
• Attend Treatment Team meetings to contribute to patient care plan development.
• Oversee and direct mental health technicians in patient care activities.
• Be accountable for assigned nursing care activities during the shift and promote and enhance professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.
