Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Surgery - St. Vincent Medical Center
About The Position
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care and teaching through the nursing process. The RN directs and guides other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards and following the organization’s established policies and procedures. The role assists in providing care to patients of all age groups. Nurses assigned to a specialty unit must meet the criteria established for that unit. This role is with Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, a faith-based Catholic healthcare ministry serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. The position is in the Cardiovascular Surgery department and is a collective bargaining unit position. The listed schedule is a mid shift from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., totaling 40 hours per pay period. Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation is required per department policy.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college, university, or institution.
- Current Ohio RN licensure.
- BLS certification is required.
- Other certifications are required according to department policy.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and skill in nursing theory and the practice of the nursing process.
- Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation is required per department policy.
