About The Position

Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. The nurse delivers patient care and teaching through the nursing process, directs and guides other nursing personnel, and maintains professional nursing standards and organizational policies and procedures. The role includes assisting with care for patients of all age groups. Nurses assigned to a specialty unit must meet that unit’s established criteria.

St. Vincent Medical Center is a faith-based Catholic healthcare ministry serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. It is a regional tertiary care facility and is verified as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, designated as a STEMI Center, and verified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.

This is a night-shift role, scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., for 36 hours per week (72 hours per pay period). Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation are required according to department policy.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college, university, or institution.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Other certifications as required by department policy.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and skill in nursing theory and the practice of the nursing process.
