About The Position

The Registered Nurse delivers patient care and teaching through the nursing process. The RN directs and guides other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards and following the organization's policies and procedures. The role assists in caring for patients of all age groups. Nurses assigned to a specialty unit must meet that unit's established criteria. This position is based in the Progressive Care Unit at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center and works the day shift, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, for 72 hours per pay period. Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation is required according to department policy.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college, university, or institution.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• Other certifications as required by department policy.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and skill in nursing theory and the practice of the nursing process.
