About The Position

AHRC NYC is seeking to hire a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee two Day Programs in Brooklyn. This role is in a non-clinical setting, ideal for building relationships and supporting ongoing health. The RN will perform the duties of a licensed registered nurse for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities include maintaining health records, disseminating proactive health information to staff and families, training staff in OSHA, first aid, and medication support, and leading the team in health and safety. The position involves providing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention in accordance with AHRC and ADS policies, OPWDD regulations, and standards of the professional registered nurse. The RN will also participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews, and supervise staff providing care, including AMAP's and LPN's, understanding the Scope of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses and required supervision.

Requirements

  • New York State License as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • CPR certified (AHRC can provide training if needed).
