About The Position
West Ridge Specialty Care, a 78-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Knoxville, Iowa, is hiring a Weekend Package Registered Nurse. This role provides direct nursing care to residents and supports daily clinical operations while promoting resident safety and quality care. Weekend package shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, either 6 AM–6 PM or 6 PM–6 AM.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in good standing that is valid in Iowa, or ability to activate an Iowa license.
- Current, valid CPR certification.
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
- Commitment to helping others and treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
- Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
- Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
- Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
- Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
