About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care to residents in a skilled nursing environment. Weekend package shifts are available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with day shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM or night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM. The role supports daily clinical operations, resident safety, and quality care across Care Initiatives’ skilled nursing communities in Iowa.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or able to be activated in Iowa.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Commitment to helping others and treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit while ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
