Registered Nurse (RN) Weekends
About The Position
Odebolt Specialty Care, a 38-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Odebolt, Iowa, is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for weekend shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The RN provides compassionate direct care to residents and supports daily clinical operations while promoting quality care and resident safety. The role requires accurate medication and treatment administration, monitoring resident conditions, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, communicating with residents and families, and maintaining accurate documentation. The nurse must follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols. Requirements
- Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or with the ability to activate it.
- Current, valid CPR certification.
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
- Commitment to helping others and consistently treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
- Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
- Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
- Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
- Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
