About The Position

Parkridge Specialty Care, a 90-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Pleasant Hill, Iowa, is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide resident care on weekends. This full-time role is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The nurse will deliver compassionate direct care in a skilled nursing environment, support unit clinical operations, promote resident safety, and work collaboratively with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary care team. Parkridge is part of Care Initiatives, which operates more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or able to be activated in Iowa.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Commitment to treating others with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
