About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment across its Iowa communities. The role supports daily clinical operations, resident safety, and high-quality care while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team. Weekend shifts are available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., with full-time and part-time options.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in good standing; license must be valid in Iowa or the applicant must be able to activate it.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Commitment to helping others and treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit while ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately according to clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and compliance protocols.
