About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible, under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, for using the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit. The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care, including interdisciplinary and discharge planning, patient and family education for post-hospitalization, and access to community resources. The RN may perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including serving as Charge Nurse when appropriately certified.

Requirements

Current registered nurse (RN) licensure in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates.
Current BLS certification is required.
Evidence of AHA-approved ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Nice To Haves

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
