About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate, excellent care to patients throughout their recovery. The position is in Davenport, Iowa, and is PRN/per diem on night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts. The minimum per diem commitment is four shifts in a six-week period. The PRN rate is $52.00 per hour, with additional differentials for night and weekend shifts. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is listed. The hospital offers a thorough RN orientation program and notes that demonstrated skills and dedication could lead to potential full-time opportunities.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
