Requirements

  • Successful completion of an RN program.
  • Active PA RN license in good standing.
  • Experience in behavioral health care.
  • Valid Driver's License and use of personal vehicle.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 on-site coverage of assigned residential program(s).
  • Oversee and provide medication administration and medication monitoring.
  • Oversee and coordinate the physical health of residents.
  • Provide metabolic screenings and other assessments/screenings (e.g., AIMS).
  • Monitor vital signs and provide medical intervention as indicated.
  • Provide oversight of restraints and conduct follow-up assessments after restraint use.
  • Collaborate with the residential team, including psychiatrists, on medication and evaluation needs.
  • Ensure compliance with DPW’s 55 PA Code Chapter 3800, OMHSAS’s memo regarding Residential Treatment Facilities for Adults, and 6400 regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with CARF, CBH, PRTF, and DHS requirements/regulations.
  • Coordinate with pharmacy for medication administration and monitoring.
  • Complete health histories as assigned.
  • Coordinate Primary Care Physician (PCP), Urgent Care, or Emergency Room visits when indicated.
  • Ensure dietary needs of residents are met.
