Requirements

Successful completion of RN program
Active PA RN license in good standing
Experience in behavioral health care
Valid Driver's License
Use of personal vehicle
Ability to perform CPR and approved physical interventions after successful completion of training

Responsibilities

Provide 24/7 on-site coverage of assigned residential program/s.
Oversee and provide medication administration and medication monitoring.
Oversee and coordinate the physical health of residents.
Provide metabolic screenings and vitals.
Provide restraint oversight and follow-up assessments.
Collaborate with the residential team, including the psychiatrist.
Ensure compliance with DPW’s 55 PA Code Chapter 3800, OMHSAS’s memo dated November 1995, and 6400 regulations.
Ensure compliance with CARF, CBH, PRTF, and DHS requirements/regulations.
Complete Metabolic Screenings and other assessments/screenings (e.g., AIMS) on each resident.
Provide oversight of physical health needs for each resident, including ensuring dietary needs are met.
Complete health histories, as assigned.
Provide vitals and medical intervention, as indicated.
Coordinate PCP, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room visits when indicated.
Obtain orders for restraints, oversee restraints, and provide follow-up assessments after a restraint.
Collaborate with the psychiatrist on any medication and/or evaluation needs.
