Requirements

  • Successful completion of RN program
  • Active PA RN license in good standing
  • Experience in behavioral health care
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Use of personal vehicle
  • Ability to perform CPR and approved physical interventions after successful completion of training

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 on-site coverage of assigned residential program/s.
  • Oversee and provide medication administration and medication monitoring.
  • Oversee and coordinate the physical health of residents.
  • Provide metabolic screenings and vitals.
  • Provide restraint oversight and follow-up assessments.
  • Collaborate with the residential team, including the psychiatrist.
  • Ensure compliance with DPW’s 55 PA Code Chapter 3800, OMHSAS’s memo dated November 1995, and 6400 regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with CARF, CBH, PRTF, and DHS requirements/regulations.
  • Complete Metabolic Screenings and other assessments/screenings (e.g., AIMS) on each resident.
  • Provide oversight of physical health needs for each resident, including ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Complete health histories, as assigned.
  • Provide vitals and medical intervention, as indicated.
  • Coordinate PCP, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room visits when indicated.
  • Obtain orders for restraints, oversee restraints, and provide follow-up assessments after a restraint.
  • Collaborate with the psychiatrist on any medication and/or evaluation needs.
