About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the Pre Op department at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The role implements and monitors patient care plans, records and communicates patient condition, coordinates care among disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team. This is a full-time, day-shift position.

Requirements

• Hold a Registered Nurse credential from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing before the hire or job transfer date.
• Hold a BLS Provider credential within 30 days of the hire or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• Have a diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or hold the required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
