About The Position

Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, nursing supervisor, and/or charge nurse, the Registered Nurse plans, directs, assesses, and provides nursing care according to hospital and department policies and procedures. Key dimensions of the role include quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, public and customer relations, and broad nursing knowledge. The nurse is experienced and may orient new staff, precept students, and perform relief charge nurse duties when oriented and assigned.

This position is in the PACU. It is a regular 0.9 FTE role with variable 10-hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays, and rotating on-call shifts. The listed pay range is $72.83 to $97.40, based on applicable experience. Shift differentials are $5.50 per hour for evening shifts and $8.00 per hour for night shifts, according to the hours worked.

Requirements

• At least one year of current practice in an acute care hospital with critical care and/or ambulatory surgery center PACU experience.
• Previous experience consistent with the Critical Care/PACU core competencies in the job description.
• Current State of California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
• Obtain ACLS and PALS before completing orientation and receiving an independent assignment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
