Registered Nurse - PACU
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Newton-Wellesley Hospital provides highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The nurse delivers direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role oversees other assigned team members and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care in accordance with BORN regulations and professional standards of care. The position is onsite at 2014 Washington Street and is scheduled for 36 hours per week, with a rotating schedule of one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts, including rotation and varied start times.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license.
- Two years of Critical Care or PACU experience.
- CPR training required within the first three months of employment.
- ACLS and PALS required within the first year of employment.
