About The Position

This is a Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) position for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within the Central Staffing Office at Texas Health. The role is PRN (as needed) for nights and requires availability for 36 hours per week. The Central Staffing Office provides clinical staffing resources for all Texas Health Resources (THR) hospitals and is organized into regional teams. This department values high-performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills. The position is not eligible for Full Time or Part Time benefits. The pay rate is $70.00 per hour. The primary region supported will be assigned at the time of hire, with Region B including locations such as Denton, Flower Mound, Southlake, HEB, Arlington Memorial, Heart & Vascular, Alliance, and Azle. The shift is nights, from 7 PM to 7 AM, and does not allow for self-scheduling.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required
  • 5 years of experience with three years in the last five years as a Registered Nurse in area of specialty Required
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire Required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire Required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire Required
  • NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 30 days Required
