About The Position

This is a seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) position for the Central Staffing Office, focusing on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The role is PRN (as needed) for day shifts and requires availability for 36 hours per week. The Central Staffing Office provides clinical staffing resources for all Texas Health Resources (THR) hospitals and is divided into regions. This department emphasizes high-performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing required
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
5 years of experience with three years in the last five years as a Registered Nurse in area of specialty
Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire
NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 30 days
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
