About The Position

Monument Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its 10th Street Primary Care clinic in Spearfish, South Dakota. The RN provides relationship-centered, compassionate, quality patient care through competent clinical practice and the application of professional nursing science. The role supports prevention or resolution of illness, disability, or injury; alleviates suffering; and advocates for patients in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, family members, and support systems. The nurse uses independent judgment and the nursing process to assess patients, identify diagnoses and expected outcomes, plan and implement care, and evaluate progress. Practice must follow ANA standards, institutional policies and procedures, applicable laws, and professional ethics. The RN also coordinates care, promotes health and safety, contributes to professional development and quality improvement, and uses organizational technology and software to document care and carry out work-related activities. This position is scheduled for 36 hours per week. The starting pay range is $29.60–$37.00 per hour, determined by the applicant’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Requirements

Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire or transfer.
Registered Nurse (RN) license from the South Dakota Board of Nursing, or from the Wyoming Board of Nursing for Wyoming facilities.
Ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.

Nice To Haves

Five or more years of Registered Nurse experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

Collect comprehensive data about the healthcare consumer’s health and situation.

Integrate ethical provisions and research findings into practice.
Consider safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact when planning and delivering nursing services.
Provide leadership in the professional practice setting and profession.
Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner and support Monument Health’s purpose, vision, and values.
Practice within the legal scope of an RN and deliver competent care consistent with standards, policies, laws, and applicable regulatory, accreditation, and certifying requirements.
Follow the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Use applicable technology and software to support and document nursing activities and patient care, and access other work-related applications.
Seek opportunities to improve patient care delivery through innovative and creative problem solving.
