About The Position
Peterson Health is hiring a full-time Endoscopy Registered Nurse in Kerrville, Texas. The nurse acts as a patient advocate during Endoscopy/Bronchoscopy procedures, implementing a plan to protect patients from injury, wrong-site surgery, and infection. The role coordinates patient care among providers and hospital staff, supports patients’ physical and emotional needs while assisting the physician, and accurately and completely documents care, interventions, equipment, and supplies. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Late and call shifts are required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current nursing assessment and patient care skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and master new skills.
- Unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications.
- At least one year of RN experience in a hospital or outpatient environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Knowledge of all phases of perioperative care.
- Meditech experience.
- LVN or Surgical Technologist certification.
- One year of experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or Endoscopy Center.
Responsibilities
