About The Position

Peterson Health is hiring a full-time Endoscopy Registered Nurse in Kerrville, Texas. The role works Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; late and call shifts are required. During endoscopy and bronchoscopy procedures, the nurse advocates for patients and implements a plan to protect them from injury, wrong-site surgery, and infection. The nurse coordinates care among providers and hospital staff, supports patients’ physical and emotional needs while assisting the physician, and accurately and completely documents care, interventions, equipment, and supplies. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current nursing assessment and patient care skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and master new skills.
Unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse license.
Certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
At least one year of experience as an RN in a hospital or outpatient environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Knowledge of all phases of perioperative care.
Meditech experience.
LVN license or certification as a Surgical Technologist.
One year of experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or Endoscopy Center.

Responsibilities

Advocate for patients during endoscopy and bronchoscopy procedures.
