About The Position

The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability for care delivered to assigned patients. The nurse evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers, coordinates patient care with other departments, and protects patient rights and the confidentiality of patient information.

This role is with Mercy Fort Smith, which recently completed a $162 million expansion of its Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. The expanded capacity, advanced technology, and modern care environment support care for more patients and the surrounding communities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure for the state where nursing duties are performed, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Hold Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, or successfully complete the course within 30 days of hire.

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care.
