About The Position
Deaconess Illinois Crossroads Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse for its Medical/Surgical team. The RN provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population and works collaboratively with the healthcare team. The role is offered for day shifts, with compensation of $33.50–$50.25 per hour. The nurse uses the nursing process to deliver care, monitors patients and responds to changes in their condition, coordinates nursing care, collaborates with healthcare professionals, educates and advocates for patients and families, and documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Red Cross BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
- Coordinate and direct nursing care according to established clinical practices and standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Advocate for patients while promoting safety, quality, and compassionate care.
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Coordinate care, communicate results, and support patients and families throughout their healthcare journey.
