About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Akron is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate patient care throughout treatment and recovery. The position is located in Akron, Ohio, and is full-time on a 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. schedule. Compensation is $36.72 to $48.44 per hour, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The employer offers a thorough RN orientation, career-development opportunities, and support for employee well-being. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification required at hire.
ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Document patient information accurately and promptly using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
