About The Position
Centerville Specialty Care, a 46-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Centerville, Iowa, is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time overnight position. The nurse provides compassionate direct care to residents and supports clinical operations, resident safety, and quality care in a skilled nursing environment. The position is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., with no weekends required. Care Initiatives describes its team as serving more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa and emphasizes compassionate, respectful care and inclusive working and learning environments.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or eligible to be activated in Iowa.
- Current, valid CPR certification.
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
- Commitment to helping others and treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
- Support daily clinical operations on the unit while ensuring quality care and resident safety.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
- Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
- Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
- Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
