Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) - Surg Ortho - Days
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, comprehensive nursing care to patients. The RN coordinates the overall patient experience and integrates care using the nursing process. The RN directs patient-focused care in accordance with established standards for safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control, with the goal of discharging patients having received an optimal level of care. This is a seasonal, per-diem position on the Surgical Orthopedics unit, scheduled for three shifts per week on days. The position is at Delray Medical Center, a 536-bed acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center in southern Palm Beach County.
Requirements
- Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
- At least one year of current acute care experience.
- Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- For telemetry and higher-acuity units, ACLS certification from the American Heart Association and basic EKG interpretation are required.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
