About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit is accountable for providing direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission through discharge. The nurse reviews and documents care provided, patient outcomes, and evaluations of care; follows professional standards of care; prioritizes care in response to changing patient assessments and needs; and maintains ongoing communication with physicians and other hospital departments. This is a full-time position with a 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. schedule. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered to external candidates.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Kentucky.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Crisis Prevention certification required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Recent experience in the specialty.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
